Launching My TIL Blog
Today I launched my personal TIL blog built with Next.js 15 and deployed on Vercel.
Today I finally launched my TIL (Today I Learned) blog!
Why a TIL Blog?
I've been inspired by Simon Willison's TIL format. The idea is simple:
- Write short posts about things you learn
- Don't overthink it - just ship
- Build a searchable archive of knowledge
- Learn in public
The Stack
I kept it minimal for the MVP:
- Next.js 15 with App Router
- Tailwind CSS v4 for styling
- Markdown files for content (no database needed)
- Vercel for hosting
The goal was to go live fast. No complex features, no database, just markdown files and static generation.
What's Next?
Future plans include:
- Adding comments and ratings
- Vector search for finding similar posts
- A RAG-powered Q&A chatbot
- Community collaboration features
But for now, the focus is on writing and sharing learnings consistently.
The Lesson
Ship fast, iterate later.
Sometimes the best way to start is to just start. This blog took just a few hours from idea to production. The fancy features can wait - what matters is having a place to share what I learn.
Let's see how this goes!
